Scott Thomas, CEO of Stewardship Matters, helps Christian families save money, live well, and honor God with his personal finance advising.

Scott hired me as a freelance content marketing consultant and copywriter for Stewardship Matters to perform a website and social media audit for the business.

I offered some key suggestions (both short-term and long-term) to help the website better appeal to Stewardship Matter’s target audience and increase lead generation.

One of those suggestions was to start an email marketing funnel, which I was happy to create myself.

Email Marketing Setup

Scott already had a fantastic budgeting tool he could use as a lead magnet, so I focused primarily on creating/copywriting a landing page to incentivize signups for the free resource.

To capture attention (and more leads!) on the Stewardship Matters website, I designed a lead magnet promo image that went near the top of the Home Page.

I made sure to design the image so that it matched the website’s and the company’s branding.

Lastly, I set up a welcome email to deliver the free tool, orient new subscribers, and set the new relationship up for success.

Blogs

I may not be a certified personal finance expert myself, but I know how to make complex topics simple. So I was happy to whip out 10 blogs for Stewardship Matters based on Scott’s expert tips in his robust YouTube library.

In each blog, I made sure to embed its corresponding video to encourage reader engagement and increase the time spent on the page.
